The Educational Scholarship is open to any Greene County student who will be a graduating senior in 2017.The Chamber urges all high school seniors who have been accepted to a College or Technical School as an incoming freshman this Fall and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better while in high school to apply for this scholarship.
The Dr. Nancy I. Davis Memorial Scholarship for Educational Leadership scholarship is in memory of the late, Dr. Nancy I. Davis. This scholarship is open to candidates who currently reside or teach in Greene County and are pursuing a Master’s in Education or above.
26th ANNIVERSAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
The Educational Scholarship Fund Committee of the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce recently presented their 26th annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to Lindsey Gilbert of Waynesburg Central High School. In addition to the scholarship, Lindsey was presented a laptop compliments of Pcsquared and a custom backpack courtesy of the Greene County United Way.
Seventeen year old Lindsey plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in Sociology of Deviance this fall. She will enter Cal U as an incoming Junior as a result of courses completed on-line and on-campus during her Junior and Senior years at Waynesburg Central. She is the daughter of Richard and Heather Gilbert of Waynesburg and a 2016 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School where she maintained a 3.44 grade point average.
This scholarship, the twenty-sixth for the
Chamber, is presented each year to a Greene County senior who plans to attend a college or trade school. The 2016 scholarship was awarded based on grade point average and a 500 word essay. The students community involvement and school activities are reviewed in the case of a tie. Lindsey and her family were special guests of the Chamber at the May General Membership Meeting of Chamber members where she read her winning essay.
This year, thirty-three applications for the scholarship were received by the Chamber of Commerce. The committee had a difficult task of selecting one winner from the qualified field. The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all who participated in the process.
25th ANNIVERSAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications from graduating seniors for the 25th Annual Chamber of Commerce Scholarship they will award this May. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Scholarship, the amount will be increased this year to $2,500. In addition, the winner will receive a Laptop compliments of PCsquared in Waynesburg.
The scholarship program is open to any Greene County student who will be a graduating senior in 2015.

Completed applications must be submitted by 4:00pm on Monday, April 15th. The winner will be announced in early May and the Scholarship Award presented at the Chamber‘s monthly General Membership Luncheon on May 27th.

WAYNESBURG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AWARDS 24th ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund Committee has announced that the 24th annual $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to Allyson Younken of Waynesburg Central High School. Seventeen year old Allyson plans to attend Penn State University Main Campus to purse a degree in Animal Science this fall. Allyson is the daughter of Mike and Shelley Younken of Waynesburg.
This scholarship, the twenty-fourth for the Chamber, is presented each year to a Greene County senior who plans to attend a college, university or trade school. The scholarship is awarded based on grade point average and a 500 word essay.

The scholarship will be presented at the Chamber’s Quarterly Membership Networking Luncheon on May 28th at noon. The luncheon will be held in the Benedum Dinning Hall on the Waynesburg University Campus and is open to the public. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Chamber office at 724-627-5926. The cost of the luncheon is $15.
